Sodium fluoride is a colorless crystalline solid or white powder, or the solid dissolved in a liquid. It is soluble in water. It is noncombustible. It is corrosive to aluminum. It is used as an insecticide. It is also used to fluorinate water supplies, as a wood preservative, in cleaning compounds, manufacture of glass, and for many other uses. Fluoride compounds have diverse applications in current technologies and science, from oil refining and etching to synthetic organic chemistry and the manufacture of pharmaceuticals.

Potassium Persulfate is a white, finely crystalline, odourless salt consisting of technically pure potassium peroxodisulfate and silicic acid to enhance the free flowing properties. It is used as an initiator (source of free radicals) for the polymerisation of monomers and as a strong oxidising agent in many applications. It has the particular advantage of being only slightly hygroscopic and easy and safe to handle. As a result of the process used for its production it is free from contamination by ammonium ions. As a result of its extremely high purity it has a good storage stability.

In electric submerged-arc furnaces Silico-manganese is chemically manufactured by silico-thermic reduction, using manganese ores and/or slags from the production of ferro-manganese. Silicon Manganese is an alloy of manganese, silicon and iron. It is a cost- effective blend of manganese and silicon for the steel manufacturer. Silico Manganese also consumed in all steel products and used in higher quantities in 200 series stainless steel, alloy steel and manganese steel.

Difference between ferro manganese and silico manganese?

A 12% solution is widely used in waterworks for the chlorination of water and a 15% solution is more commonly used for disinfection of waste water in treatment plants. High-test hypochlorite (HTH) is sold for chlorination of swimming pools and contains approximately 30% calcium hypochlorite. The crystalline salt is also sold for the same use; this salt usually contains less than 50% of calcium hypochlorite. However, the level of active chlorine may be much higher.
