Calcium Bromide Solution is primarily used as a completion fluid, stationary liquid and work over fluid. It is used to Form Brine completion and Workover Fluids. Calcium Bromide can be used with calcium chloride brines and dry calcium chloride to formulate non damaging fluids.
It can be used as a packer fluid or to adjust the density of other brine systems. It provides inhibition preventing the hydration and migration of swelling clays.
Calcium bromide can be used with calcium chloride brines and dry calcium chloride to formulate nondamaging fluids of densities from 11.7 lb/gal to 15.1 lb/gal.
Calcium bromide is a strong salt solution. Protective clothing, rubber gloves and eye protection are recommended.
Rubber safety boots should also be worn in work areas, since calcium bromide can damage leather.

APPLICATION :- Calcium bromide is used in two main applications -clear brine fluids in oil & gas and as an oxidizer for mercury emissions control.
In upstream oil and gas, calcium bromide is used to control wellbore pressures during completion and work over operations.
In mercury emissions control, calcium bromide is sprayed on the coal prior to combustion and when the coal is burned the calcium bromide breaks down and reacts with elemental mercury to form ionic species of mercury that can be captured by downstream pollution control equipment.
Packing:- Calcium bromide solution pack in HDPE barrel 200 liters water capacity or IBC 1000 liters water capacity, and store in a cool dry place.
